Program description
Field workshop introducing the process of finding and following trails (typically practicing with deer and moose). Click the 'Register' button to complete your registration and payment. REGISTRATION TERMS & CONDITIONS Program Schedule: The program takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the scheduled date, with additional online sessions to prepare for the field workshop and to check in 1-2 weeks later. You will be offered exercises to practice at home before and after the field workshop, to extend your learning. Meeting Locations: Within 40 minutes' drive of Jeffersonville, Vermont. Exact location will be decided the week of the event. Options under consideration include sites in Jericho, Underhill, Cambridge, Fletcher, Bakersfield, Enosburg, Waterville, Belvidere & Montgomery. Gear & Physical Requirements: Participants are expected to provide all of their own gear to stay warm and safe for a full day outdoors. The program will include navigating off-trail, in uneven and potentially steep terrain, going where the trail takes us. We may also have extended stops where an animal's trail becomes challenging to follow, and one participant will take a lead at finding it while others stand by. We might travel as much as 8 miles over the course of the day. Additional details will be provided during our orientation Zoom meeting.
Booking Policies
The provider reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule any part of this program for any reason. Likely reasons would be instructor illness or injury, or adverse weather conditions on both the Saturday and Sunday of a program weekend. In the event of a postponement due to instructor availability or weather conditions, we will work with participants to reschedule the field session to a new date within 3 months of the originally scheduled date. In the event that an alternative field date cannot be scheduled, participants may be offered equivalent content in the form of an online classroom session, a recording, or another format. In the case of a full program cancellation by the provider, participants will receive a full refund for any cancelled portions of the program.
