Tracking Connection manages the wildlife monitoring and community science programs for Cold Hollow to Canada (CHC), where Sophie holds the title of Community Science Coordinator. Several of our training events, including Immersion Programs and Track & Sign Certifications, are offered in collaboration with CHC. The CHC wildlife programs engage volunteers to monitor conservation priority parcels through trail cams and track & sign. Tracking Connection is also launching a new project to document wildlife trails to verify suspected wildlife corridors in the CHC region. Click here to learn more.
Sophie serves as Operations Manager for Tracker Certification North America (TCNA), which offers professional-level training and certification of wildlife trackers based on the CyberTracker system (a certification process developed in collaboration with indigenous trackers in subsaharan Africa). In addition to general management of the nonprofit organization, Sophie hosts the biannual online North American Wildlife Tracker Conference, as well as monthly Tracker Tuesday online events that are free and open to the public. She also initiated and oversees TCNA's Certified Wildlife Trackers Association and supports new host organizations that would like to bring a Certification event to their area.
